When searching for a company that deals with credit repair, it is good to have some questions handy to ask them. Research some topics ahead of time and see how they answer. Here are some of our favorite questions regarding credit repair companies.

1.) How long will it take me to raise my credit score? I love this question because there are so many different answers to this question. There are so many variations and factors that determine this answer.

A good company will tell you that there is no timeline set for the length of time it will take you to raise your credit score. Some clients may get an average increase in a month, but some may take a few months before anything increases. Each client will have different results.

2.) How is the company going to actually provide credit repair? What things are they going to do? The company won’t give detailed specifics, but there are general things that are known by most people. See if the company will tell you what ways they will repair credit. If they won’t talk to you about it until after you sign up with them that is a red flag.

3.) How many different services do they provide? Not every customer will have the same needs, or be in the same situations. What does the company do to include all their customer’s needs?

4.) What do they charge for their services? What fees and costs do they have, and do they provide it in writing? Ask if there are any upfront costs you need to be aware of.

5.) What credentials and certificates does the company have? Are they certified to be a credit repair company? It is a good idea to ask what credentials the people who are working with your case have.

6.) How will they show you your progress? What type of record will they be using to guarantee that they are doing all that they promise to do? Ask what they will do to show you they are doing their job.
